Sometimes, our minds can get a little mean when we look in the mirror, but you have the power to change that narrative. Here are some simple steps to help turn those critical thoughts into kindness and love:
Look into your own eyes. Take a deep breath and really see yourself. You’re more than the reflection. You’re a whole person with a story.
Say one kind thing out loud. It can be as simple as “I am enough,” or “I am strong.” Feel the words as you say them.
Acknowledge what your body does for you. Maybe it’s carrying you through busy days, hugging someone you love, or dancing to your favorite song.
Challenge the mean voice. When a negative thought pops up, ask yourself: “Would I say this to my best friend?” If not, don’t say it to yourself.
Finish with a smile or a little celebration. It might feel awkward at first that’s okay! Practice builds new, loving habits.
Your reflection is your ally, not your enemy. The more you practice, the easier it gets to treat yourself with the love and respect you deserve. 💕
